“ Oh man, where do I start? I am stuffed—like, roll-me-out-the-door stuffed. Let’s just say if I were the pig, I’d be hiding from this place! The ribs? Absolutely amazing with tons of juicy, fall-off-the-bone meat. I’m pretty sure I could hear them calling my name from the kitchen. The pulled pork was equally mouthwatering. As for the sausage, it was good, but at that price, I think I’ll let someone else enjoy it next time. Now, the mac and cheese? Holy smokes! Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Creamy, cheesy, and downright magical. The service was top-notch, too. My server, Ryan, was awesome. He almost had me convinced to order the entire menu. (I think he secretly works on commission!) All jokes aside, this place is a must-visit. I cannot wait to come back next time I’m in town though I might need to bring a bigger appetite! ”

We decided to eat outdoors because the weather was nice!! Just a few flies trying to join us. Lots of parking spaces. I would definitely come back. This Restaurant is about an hour and ten minutes from Richmond, VA depending on traffic. ”

“ I recently visited The Fishin’ Pig in Farmville Virginia , and it was such a great experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is a perfect mix of Southern charm and modern style. I loved the neon sign inside and how inviting the space felt as soon as I walked in. The outdoor signage and landscaping were really well kept, giving a great first impression before even stepping through the doors. The menu offers a little bit of everything barbecue, seafood, and classic Southern dishes. The drink I had was refreshing and served in their branded glass, which was a nice touch. Our bartender, Chris, was fantastic. Not only did he make great drinks, but he also knew all about the history of the restaurant and even gave us some recommendations for local places to check out while we were in town. It made the experience feel personal and welcoming. Staff overall was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear they care about providing good service. If you’re anywhere near Farmville and craving some comfort food in a laid-back setting, The Fishin’ Pig is definitely worth the stop. “ We have visited this establishment for 3 consecutive days... It is a must do in FarmVille. We have had 2 great servers in Sydney (not sure spelling) and Chey (second and third visit). The hostesses are so sweet and efficient. We have bought a ton of food as to try as much as we could. I apologize for not taking a picture the first day visit, but I have others from the second and third visit. The brisket is very good with a variety of sauces, andouille sausage, Mac-n-Skillets with grilled chicken, andouille sausage, brisket(no picture), pulled pork, fried catfish(not pictured), jalapeno cornbread, collard greens, redskin potato salad, blue raspberry margarita, and carrot cake... All extremely good. My choice for the Mac-n-Skillet is brisket. I will visit every time. I am in town or near Farmville. I like them so much I bought a shirt. ”
